Welder training at CPT Kenitra:

The third course running in March 2023

On 04.01.2023, after a long period of preparation, the first course for the training and examination of welders was finally opened at the Centre de Perfectionnement Technique (CPT) in Kenitra. In the presence of the director of the CPT, Madame Touzani, Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Axel Börnert, course director for the training of welders within the project, welcomed the course participants. The manual arc welding course lasted four weeks. The content of the course includes theoretical knowledge as well as learning the practical skills for joint welding. The highlight of the course was the welding of test pieces according to the international standard ISO 9606ff as well as a theoretical examination. After passing the examination, the course participants received an international certificate according to ISO 9606-1.

The first course has now been successfully completed. After the examination acceptance by the SLV Halle GmbH, which included the evaluation of the welded test pieces as well as the theoretical examination, 16 welder examination certificates according to DN EN ISO 9606-1 could be handed over.

Training courses: Start at CPT Kenitra  

Long preparation, happy start: The first courses for training and testing welders have begun at the CPT in Kenitra. More courses will start soon.

On 04.01.2023, after a long preparation, the first course for the training and examination of welders was finally opened at the Centre de Perfectionnement Technique (CPT) in Kenitra. In the presence of the director of the CPT, Madame Touzani, Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Axel Börnert, course director for the training of welders within the project, welcomed the course participants. The manual arc welding course will last four weeks. The course will cover both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for joint welding. The highlight of the course is the welding of test pieces according to the international standard ISO 9606ff as well as a technical examination. After passing the examination, the course participants receive an international certificate according to ISO 9606-1. 

The second course starts on 6 February. The focus here is on MAG welding. If you are interested in taking part in this course, please contact the CPT. Contact persons can be found on our website.

The new workshop is run by a highly qualified and experienced German training staff. The aim is to provide high quality training that meets international standards and norms in the field of welding.

Kenitra – New hub for joining technologies in Morocco  

Kenitra is becoming the true hotspot of joining technologies in Morocco. The CPT, one of the best organised and most modern public vocational training institutions in Morocco, represents the centre of the activities of the Joining Technologies industry cluster. In close partnership with the CPT, the SLV Halle GmbH, a highly renowned German institute of training and research in welding technologies will be conveying its longstanding know-how to Kenitra. Moreover, one of the world’s global leaders in the production of welding materials and applications, German company ABICOR Binzel GmbH is about to set up a welding Competence Centre in Kenitra, where they will be offering trainings on the most advanced welding techniques. Together with the network of local metalworking businesses and automotive suppliers, the endeavours of the cluster will set the scene for a thrilling and innovative hub for joining technologies in Kenitra.
